Yes, we get asked all the time... "Koin-o-what???" It's unusual, we know...it's okay to ask.
Koinonia (pronounced "coy-no-knee-a") is a Greek word that is translated as "fellowship", "sharing", "participation" and "contribution". It conveys the idea of a community, sharing life together by everyone's participation. This is what we want to be.
We, as a community of believers are seeking to grow in relationship with God and one another, and reach out to the world with the GOOD news that God himself has come to rescue and renew all creation through the work of Jesus.
Our goal is to be a community of people who live lives of devotion to God and walk out our faith together...rejoicing with those who rejoice, mourning with those who mourn, and sharing with those in need. We want to live life to it's fullest, worshiping God in all we do, be it studying Scripture and learning together, doing our jobs in the workplace, serving in the community, or expressing our worship through the arts (to name just a few).
No matter where you are in your spiritual journey...whether you are currently a follower, a seeker, a doubter, or anything in between...we invite you to join us.
Koiononia House is part of a family of churches called Dove Christian Fellowship International (DCFI). Dove is an international partnership of churches and ministries dedicated to advancing God's kingdom. If you would like to find out more about DCFI, visit them on the web at www.dcfi.org.
