Yes, we get asked all the time... "Koin-o-what???" It's unusual, we know...it's okay to ask.
Koinonia (pronounced "coy-no-knee-a") is a Greek word that is translated as "fellowship", "sharing", "participation" and "contribution". It conveys the idea of a community, sharing life together by everyone's participation. This is what we want to be. (Check it out on wikipedia...it's explained in great detail there!)
As believers in Jesus Christ, we, as a community, are seeking to know Him better, and reach a hurting world with the GOOD news that God passionately loves people (and isn't just sitting in the sky, waiting to 'drop the hammer' on them!) and desires to transform our lives, and in turn, through us, our world.
We are a church plant in the Boyertown/Pottstown area; our Sunday Celebration is held in Boyertown, and our community groups meet in locations all around the area. We are not 'polished' or formal (as churches go), but we do strive to just be completely real, not only in our gatherings, but in our relationships with one another. We welcome you to join us as we journey together.
